I have used woodpecker for quite some time now – way back to when we purchased our house in cape schanck and set about organising a service for our gas log heater and also with the supply and installation of our real log fire – I have never been disappointed in fact the opposite – I cannot speak highly enough of Woodpecker.

I first made enquires regarding air conditioning on Thursday 5th January 2017.
Sherri was most helpful in suggesting possible unit for our home and arranged for James to visit on Monday 9th of January.

After measuring the two rooms under consideration James discussed his recommendations and provided quotations. He also carefully explained the conditions regarding deposit and final payment.

Accordingly I decided to proceed and paid the required the deposit the next day.

On Monday the 23rd January two “Woodpecker” tradesmen arrived at 7:45am as arranged.Despite it being an extremely hot day, both men worked continuously until the two units were installed and operating well. I was impressed by the standard of work and by the efficient management of the very difficult work under the house to arrange power connection.

I am completely satisfied with the units recommended and very much appreciate the air conditioning during the recent hot weather.

I would gladly recommend Woodpecker for any air conditioning requirements.

I am writing to express my absolute pleasure in dealing with staff at your Oakleigh Store.

On Friday 13th Jan I went in to enquire about a family Q 3200 and one of your staff members Ric who explained was not a sales rep stepped down from his ladder to assist us. We found him really helpful, friendly and definetly passionate about the BBQ range. He was an absolute delight and you should be proud to have him working for your company. He is a real asset.

On Monday 16th following us digesting Ric’s advise we came in to look at the range again. We were still unsure of what model we wanted, we spoke with Helen Gavriel, who again was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She was patient, knowledgeable and extremely courteous. When she first stepped out to greet us I asked for someone experienced to assist us as she looked so young.
Helen corrected me and said I look young but don’t let that fool you, and sure enough she was a wealth of information and again very passionate about her BBQ’s.
I cannot express enough how absolutely satisfying shopping in your store with these 2 staff members was, please pass this onto their relevant manager.

We were very happy with the help we received in the showroom, and help finding out all of the technical specifications and considerations. We chose one with a “European” look to it, and ordered the fireplace that day. A short time later, the stove arrived. The team set it up quickly and efficiently. This winter, we have used the stove nearly every day. We are so happy with our stove! We sit in front of the fire, with the dogs curled up beside us and just -enjoy-! Just thought I’d send a quick email regarding the positive experience we had at the Woodpecker showroom in Oakleigh on Saturday 4 June. My wife and I came in to specifically look at the Heat & Glo Messo range for an outdoor heater in our new alfresco area we are including in our renovation.
We had the pleasure of dealing with Soulla who was immediately helpful, and her knowledge and understanding of subtle differences in the product range was clearly evident. After discussing what we were hoping to achieve, Soulla brought to our attention the Regency GF 1500 which quickly became our preferred choice. It would have been easier for her to persuade us along the more expensive Messo option, but we have come away with a product that meets our needs (and a bit cheaper).
I must say from the moment we walked in the door, we were impressed with the positive vibe of the staff and enjoyed the banter between Soulla, Helen and the rest of the team. Whilst it’s never normally easy for me to part with our hard earned, on this occasion it was no doubt the warm infectious atmosphere that contributed to the willingness to pull out the credit card.
We look forward to relaxing by our Regency gas fireplace.

I rang your Oakleigh store and spoke with Rick, who described himself as ‘just the storeman’, wanting to find out more about your range of Weber BBQ’s.

Rick was friendly, polite and provided thorough information, confirming that I would be getting great value in buying the Family model, that you presently have available at a special price. He explained that I wouldn’t need to buy a gas bottle, but rather would be better served to hire one through Bunnings or 7Eleven. He also gave me some tips for adding to the smokiness of the flavour achieved with the Webers.

As I said to Rick, if he is ‘just the storeman’, the sales staff must be amazing! Has he considered a move over to sales? He really provided excellent service, and I’m looking forward to telling him in person, when I collect my BBQ on Friday.

As I mentioned on the phone, the service that I have received from Rick today far exceeds the experience that I had when I contacted BBQs Plus in Hampton.

Firstly re Dave Rawlings – he called me to make a time for the appointment and advised he would ring on approach to my address that day. He gave me an hr window when he said he’d be there, and he messaged me to advise he’d be there – and he was, bang on time. He was friendly, and when he’d finished, he explained the features and workings of the BBQ, what to cook and how, and suggested reading the Weber book for more detail on recipes. He used an iPad to confirm delivery – that was a nice touch – modern, efficient and no need for paper – well done Weber! Just before leaving, he observed that the LHS metal tray had a slight flaw/crease in it. He assured me that either he or the other installer would make contact asap, and be back to install a new tray. He did this about a week later, again rang me, then rang me as he was heading to my address, again on time. He fixed the problem without delay and again, was very friendly, approachable and professional. If I had more staff like this gentleman, I’d be very happy. Dave deserves this positive feedback – it is easy to complain, but when someone does a good job, the praise should follow too, and this is well deserved on Dave’s part.

Steven Frankland sold me the BBQ – I went to the store just to look – he applied no subtle pressure, explained the quality of the build, showed me how easy it was to manoeuvre, and threw in some extra’s (smoker, cleaning brush and hickory chips) which ended up being the deal maker. His knowledge of the products and his confident and easy going nature, was second to none. I was with my mother and he patiently listened to her questions and query about whether he offered a “pensioner discount” – he did this with a smile on his face, and despite there being no further discount I couldn’t help but smile thinking how well he’d handled that discourse! I was so impressed with the BBQ I also bought a cover – after all, if you are going to spend a good deal of money, you should spend a bit more to protect it.

So in all, I wish to thank you Weber – you have some amazingly talented and good people who are a credit to you. I am very impressed with the BBQ – so much so that I haven’t even cooked on it as yet, because the thought of cooking one steak or a few sausages somehow just doesn’t do the BBQ justice! I am sure though, that with the holiday season approaching, it will get plenty of use (and some jealous stares) very soon.

Thanks again – you can be assured that if I were to recommend a BBQ to friends etc, I will be recommending Weber as the best option.

A part supplied by Weber was faulty and the BBQ could not be set up. Took it back to the store and Jason was very apologetic and emailed Weber straight away in front of us with pictures of the faulty part. A few days later we received the part in the mail but still the part did not fit. Took it back to Jason who used one of his own screws and voila!! He actually finished setting it up for us in the store.

His product knowledge (not to mention his BBQ recipes!) and helpfulness and excellent customer service is second to none.
